Just as Parmenides said, Nothing comes from Nothing. So here we are with the first post on the Foundation's new website and hopefully one of many progressively improving articles. With little more to say at this early stage, it seems like a good idea to lay out what we can expect to see on this page.
First and foremost, updates on the Foundation's progress will be a huge priority on this page. We will be giving announcements on how the collection of materials has been going and, most excitingly, where those collections end up! We hope also to be able to use this space to proudly announce partnerships and say special thank yous to supporters of the Foundation.
Going forward, this blog will also be used as a general space to discuss all things relating to the ancient past. I think it'll be interesting to see pieces that show how the legacy of Classics still influences our experiences in the present. The mission to get more people involved with the ancient is closely linked to showing people that its lessons and legacy are equally applicable to today and that much of this things we take for granted have their roots firmly entrenched in that period.
Of course, if you have any ideas for a post or just a suggestion on what you'd like to see here, then please don't hesitate to get in touch!
All the best
Matt
